Basic phones are a handy tool not to substitute your smartphone but to complement it. Smartphones may give you extra features but from value for money perspective these feature phones win the race hands down. This phone is one of the best basic budget oriented phones i have witnessed. After using it for more than 20 days all i can say is i am very happy with my purchase.nn------------------------------------Technical Details-------------------------------------nThis phone comes with standard proprietary os seen in sub 2000 Rs phones however videocon has done some customisation with the user interface. On settings and several other places you would find tabbed options. The ui is polished with interesting menu animations.nnThe screen is pretty big and in case of watching video the experience is good. Call quality and network signal reception is very good.The phone has not hanged/freezed yet and i am hoping it would not. The loudspeaker however is a bit low. There is internet faciliy on the phone though i did not use it. I don't think it would be able to display full webpages (only wap sites maybe).nnThere are 12 menu items(videocon connect, call history, fun zone, profiles, messages, multimedia, alarm, phonebook, file manager, settings, organizer, extras). The camera on this phone is not worth mentioning(read:terrible+horrible). I only mentioned it for the sake of mentioning as i did not buy the phone for the camera. BTW It is not even worthy of being called a camera.nnYou have a microusb data syncing cum charging port, 3.5 mm headphone jack and an extra thin pin charging slot (those found in nokia phones) which is a handy feature.nn----------------------------Videos and Videocon Jukebox-------------------------------nVideocon advertises that this phone can store upto 20 movies in a 4 gb card through a software called Videocon Movie Jukebox. What it does is it converts your mp4/mkv/avi movies into a kmv format useful for viewing in small screen phones with low bitrate. The process however is not at all convenient. It does not work with all movie files, takes a hell of a lot of time to convert the file (even when i tried on my home i5 high end gaming desktop) , audio feels choppy after conversion, sometimes the file would not even properly convert. Videocon should take a hint from this and introduce user friendly features instead of complex ones. However the one or two videos that i managed to convert went all the way from 70 mb to just 15 mb and i was able to watch them on the phone. Surprisingly, this phone has inbuilt avi codec so you can watch your movies/videos without even converting. nn-------------------------------Aesthetics---------------------------------nnI purchased the white variant which does look good and classy according to me but everybody's taste is different.There is a silver coloured bezel all around the phone. Due to the big screen the keypad looks a bit cramped. The placement of keys is also not convenient. Between the select key and the sim1 key you have the lifted sim2 key nwhich makes the menu select key cramped for room. The number pad is also cramped.nn---------------------------------------------Battery----------------------------------------nThe battery on this device is deserves a special mention. It has got a massive 3000 mah battery which i have not seen in high end android phones let alone the basic ones. Keeping two sim cards on and with moderate to heavy usage the battery lasted 13 days. This included watching video. frequent calling, using the camera, playing the games for a long time. In fact it is the battery which makes this phone very heavy.nnSo summing up here are the pros and cons......n---------Pros----------n1) Great basic phone with good features.n2) Excellent battery backup.n3) Build quality good.n4) Good video player with codec support.n5) Very good pricing i.e. value for money product.nn--------Cons---------n1) Camera is a piece of shit.n2) Videocon jukebox not so user friendly.n3) Loudspeaker low volume so if you keep your phone on bed you might not hear the ringtone.n4) Cramped keypad.nn-------------Note about flipkart service---------------nIt took me 7 days to get the product when the advertised time was 6-7 days. So flipkart delivered in time as they promised. However this is not always the case. For metro and a &b class cities the service is good but they should improve the delivery time in small cities and towns.nP.S.- there is no point in routing a delivery package from chenni-delhi-kolkata and then to my place kharagpur. Increases the delivery time significantly.

Battery is Pathetic......It seems that products sold here are used or duplicate. Do not purchase anything unless it has good reviews especially from new sellers

The battery backup is real great, even the soundsystem is fine. Got knows why it doesnt support browsing??? Was really upset with this fault

sound quality is very bad and battery life also not good use 1 day only. only mobile tracker in best...... and music player searching very slowly... so don't buy this product

good durable, good looking, good screen , great bettery backup ,3000 mhz ..but the cover of the phone is not available in the market as well as.online shop, if ur phone goes down or collide than all parts of the phone seperate like bettery, sim , back of the.phone. .
