Purchased this DDB tv last year (NOT via snapdeal though) and wanted to share my experiences of the same. Pros: eliminates the need for an external settopbox (however a dish still needs to be installed outside) Cons: Only 1 digital subscription provider for such tvs - videocon d2h (its pathetic believe me) The whole GUI is coupled and tailored for videocond2h ONLY; even the remote is made for d2h Consumer cannot swith to another provider; you are stuck with videocond2h for your lifetime (like tatasky etc which dont offer useless bunch of channels but provide quality services) The software is so laggy that sometimes there is no option but to switch off the tv and restart after a few seconds ( this in my opinion is due to the focus of d2h to provide quantity of channels rather than quality) Very few software updates to fix bugs on ddb tvs while the regular stb boxes from d2h get regular updates (last ddb update was on oct 2013); tv purchased in nov 2013 You have to bear with the unprofessional customer service provided by 1) Videocon tv 2) Videocon d2h providers. All the best. After those encouraging words (PUNS attached) I hope that in the near future such manufacturers would also provide GENERIC tvs which can be used for multiple digital cable providers and can contain software for that particular cable provider. Eliminating the need for a STB is a great buying USP but the TV itself needs to deliver on a day to day basis.

PRice is too high for videocon

on happy new year on 02-01-2014, I purchased this Videocon VJE42FH-K1A 42 Inches Full HD DDB LED Television from snapdeal and I found it really a snap of deal. In market, it is available by paying around 43 thousand where as I saved almost 10 thousand by snapdeal shopping. further this TV provides a one year Platinum HD connection worth Rs 6000/- for Rs 990/- only. You are to pay this 990/- at the time of installation. In this TV the Sattop Box of Videocon is inbuilt which further save cost. at the time of placing order kindly use promo code and get 2% extra discount. This TV has full functions and performance is very satisfactroy. A 42 inch LED TV with total effective cost Rs 33000/- with one year connection worth Rs 6000/- is realy a DEAL.

I bought it to watch movies downloaded from internet using usb drive. But 2 features this led is lacking behind and that's a bit irritating: 1. It Doesn't support AC3 audio. Many movies i download are having AC3 audio. One has to convert the movie file for converting AC3 audio to AAC audio. 2. I download English movies with dual audio (English-Hindi). But there is no option to select audio in english or hindi. It picks Track 1 audio as default. There might be any application to covert the movie file to change desired audio to set on Track 1.

This is the today's age fully-loaded television. My father bought this for my new house after the wedding. What all it does not have... Fully HD TV has Activ Colour Management, 3D noise reduction, 14-bit dual core processor, 4 trillion colors, 2 HDMI ports, 1 USB port. I was expecting the very best from every angle and I am very happy with my father's choice. TV watching experience has become exceptionally good. Its just so real. Perfect television. 10 on 10 for all parameters. Collected through an in-person interaction with customer.
