Verdict

With the Tab3 Essential WiFi, Lenovo has delivered yet another decent performing device in the gadget market. With loaded features and a compact size, this phablet is extremely convenient to be handled. However, with that size, the inclusion of voice calling would have been a boost. However, if you want a low range tablet to go along with your phone, this tablet will fit in that shoe pretty well.

Display and Configuration

With a screen size of 7 inches IPS LCD, the Lenovo Tab3 7 Essential Wi-Fi is a smart looking tablet with a pixel density of 170ppi that produces a screen resolution of 600 x 1,024 pixels. The capacitive touch screen responds well to multi-touch too.

The phablet is the house of a quad-core processor, with a clock speed of 1.3GHz, which is placed on a MediaTek chipset. And when this combination is paired up with 1GB RAM, multitasking becomes a good experience.

Camera and Storage

With a 2MP camera at the back of the phablet, the Lenovo Tab3 Essential WiFi delivers images with a resolution of 1,600 x 1,200 pixels with the able assistance of a digital zoom. The 0.3MP front camera proves to be good enough for video calling and basic selfies. The phablet from Lenovo comes with 8GB of default inbuilt storage, which can be further expanded up to a large 64GB with the help of a microSD card.

Battery and Connectivity

In the connectivity department, the Lenovo Tab3 Essential WiFi offers Wi-Fi 802.11, b/g/n, Wi-Fi 802.11, b/g/n, microUSB 2.0, Bluetooth v4.0, A-GPS, mobile hotspot. The Lenovo phablet has been very generous in the fuelling department with a 3,450mAh li-ion battery powering the device for a long showtime.
