Design and display
The Apple iPad Pro 9.7-inch comes to fill the void between the iPad Air and Pro series. Similar to the previous-gen iPads, the new iPad Pro 9.7 also offers a premium head-turning aluminium design, and sports four speakers on the each corner of the tablet. The slate also comes with Apple Pencil support, which allows designers create the content on the go. It flaunts a 9.7-inch Retina Display with a resolution of 2,048 x 1,536 pixels, which delivers an excellent media experience.
Configuration and OS
The Apple iPad Pro 9.7-inch is powered by the high-end Apple A9X processor, which is found on the iPad Pro 12.9-inch variant. The performance is further enhanced by an Apple M9 co-processor, which assures that there's no lag while playing high-end games and apps. The slate comes with 2GB of RAM and massive 256GB of internal storage, which lets users store whatever they want without worrying about the storage limit. Software-wise, the tablet runs iOS 9.3, which brings several enhancements over the previous iOS software version.
Camera
For imaging, the iPad Pro 9.7 Wi-Fi 256GB edition gets a 12-meg primary iSight shooter with Focus Pixels, Live Photos, a TrueTone LED flash and 4K video recording. There's also a 5-meg secondary snapper on the front to capture quality selfies in the low-light conditions thanks to the Retina Flash feature. The tablet is capable of capturing Panorama's with up to 63-meg resolution. The slate also gets a five-element lens, f/2.2 aperture, Burst mode, Auto HDR, Face detection, Sapphire crystal lens cover and Auto image stabilisation.
Connectivity and battery
The iPad Pro 9.7-inch comes with a Touch ID fingerprint sensor, and can be attached to a Smart Keyboard for a laptop like experience. Its other connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. As for the battery, the slate is backed by a 27.5 Whr unit, which as per the brand is capable of providing 10 hours of surfing on the web on Wi-Fi, video or audio playback.
