Overall: Just two month before I bought this laptop from TheLapStore, laptop is awesome. nnBut, I dind't got the invoice/bill copy. 4 time i sent an email and 3 call to customer care. Till yet id didn't got the bill/invoice. nnHorrible seller, don't buy anyth...

Verdict
The Asus X501A-XX517D is another versatile laptop from Asus with a few good features. It's ample storage capacity, graphics, HD webcam and LED display are it's pluses but on the other hand DOS operating system, lack of optical drive and only 2GB RAM memory are some setbacks. But being highly economical, it is a good device for budgeters.

Asus X501A-XX517D Netbook (Celeron Dual Core 3rd Gen/2 GB/500 GB/DOS) is a 15.6-inch LED Backlight HD Glare panel display laptop with screen resolution of 1366x768 pixels. It comes in classic black colored body and features standard keyboard and touchpad as input devices.  

Hardware and OS

The laptop is powered by 1.8GHz Intel Celeron Dual Core 1000M processor with Intel HM76 Express chip. It's RAM memory is only 2GB and it is not further expandable. The graphics processor is Intel HD 4000 graphics for good visual and gaming. It comes with no specific OS. It runs only on Disk operating system (DOS). 

Memory, Camera and others  

The Asus device is packed with 500GB SATA type hard disk drive (HDD) with 5400 HDD speed. It has HD webcam for taking webcam photos and video chat. It has no optical drive. The speakers are stereo speakers running on sonic master lite technologies which offer rich sound quality.   
 
Battery and connectivity

The connectivity options of this machine are Bluetooth, WiFi, HDMI port, USB port, Ethernet etc. It comes along with 6cell 65 W Li-ion battery.
