There were major hanging issues and Windows would't load after activation.nnI had to perforce fix the issue myself.nnI had asked for a replacement, but WS Retail simply rejected the request. Imagibe paying up almost Rs half lakh and there is such callousness on part of these vendors.nnShame on Flipkart! This is the last time I am buyng from you guys.

This is not a review against Flipkart but against Dell. I have high regards for Flipkart and it's return policy and most importantly it's customer satisfaction. But the following incident made me look with disgust towards the so-celebrated company, Dell.nnJust after buying a laptop worth 35k+, I lodged a complaint regarding a problem with the hardware, i.e. the touchpad and keyboard and also a problem of the laptop heating up quite frequently. On being asked to format the computer, I did so thrice, yet the problem did not end. Only after one whole month, and that too after numerous mails later a mechanic was sent to repair the touchpad and cooling fan. Yet, the problem did not stop. He, on calling up a few of his managers found that the problem seemed to be with most of Dell's computer.nnHowever, that evening I was only told by an arrogant mister from the customer care that the problem was with my operating system (not to mention this is currently the 3rd OS, one being windows 8.1 and the two win 7 pro). He could not explain the problem that was being faced by most, even with the computers of the representatives themselves, as claimed by the mechanic. Now I am stuck with a NEW machine that does not work properly, and with hardly any option but to visit the customer's court.

I am big fan of Dell , my first purchase was in 2006 in Europe. It was Dell Inspiron 6400. Its just flawless. With the same impression on the Dell I have purchased Dell Inspiron 3542 FROM INDIA. This is where the quality issues started. Many of the Dell products are found defective. I don't really understand how the products are passing through the Dell's Quality Checks.nnThe Issues I have faced 1. Optical Drive Malfunctionn2. Few keys are not functioning.n3. BIG ISSUE: The SCREEN is very very dull and its like FADE OUT effect. This is very irritating.nnI got replacement from Flipkart for the 1&2 , but the issue 3 is still not solved.nnSince the date of purchase I have put lot of effort in finding out the defects of the product I have purchased rather than using the product for my purpose.nnI really lost confidence on Dell. I purchased a new laptop for an very important and urgent assignment , but it did not normally and I had to depend on my friends Sony Laptop.nnWith this experience I am afraid to buy / Depend on Dell Laptop.

Their are only 1 photo, I can't make out the ports available. HDMI port is not mentioned in product specification. It will be a good buy if they provide full specification and photos.

I preferred this laptop to dell inspiron 15 3537(4th gen Ci5/6GB/ 1TB / win 8.0 / 2GB graphic card (radeon) ) (i first ordered this then cancelled it and replaced it with this laptop) ... the shipment is yet to b delivered at my home .... but just RAM got 4 GB from 6 GB otherwise ... HD webcam , McAfee for 15 months + a really class color ...unlike the stereotype black of (3537). About graphic cards .... doesn't make much of a difference albeit ATI radeon provided in (dell 3537) is a slight edge over NVIDIA (in this laptop) but went for this ..A diminutive difference :D Hope so my choice pays off ...
