Okay Guys, I bought this laptop on 2-1-14 in chandigarh for Rs 59700 and got a cheap mouse, keyboard cover, cleaning kit and a cheap headphone/microphone free. note that this laptop is also available in the alias of dell inspiron 15 3537 which will cost atmost 2-3 k less since it has a plastic body. u can prefer plastic but i preffered this one for obvious reasons.nBad things:n1. The win 8 o/s is okay-ish but it is packed with Bloatware like dell backup manager, McAfee Antivirus, and some other dell 3rd party processes that have a significant impact on the startup. A normal user will start enjoying the laptop from the first startup itself but I being a pro, hate these 3rd party crap. The bad part is that whenevr u'll do a factory reset, the bloatware will be restored again.nSolution- "A Clean Install of o/s" that i'll do in near future but remember before that u'll have to manually download all drivers from dell website, disable "legacy boot" in the boot menu and keep Intel Rapid storage driver ready during ninstallation. Remember to do a research for that too.nnGood Things: (Yeah only 1 Bad thing :D) n1. The graphics card!!! It is way more efficient than Radeon 86xx.nIf u r buying any laptop for gaming u should check gamedebate website so that u can see for yourself whether u'll be having smooth gameplay or not. I bought this laptop by seeing the requirements of new assasins creed game that is yet to be released in late january and I can already predict that this laptop will be able to run that too in ULTRA settings.n2. Along with 8850M dedicated graphics, this laptop has Intel 4400 graphics integrated (for normal stuff) I have forgotten the meaning of word "LAG" since the past 2 days. Managed to play only these games on highest settings possible. "Crystal clear" should be the words i am looking for.n-Far cry 3n- Tomb raider 2013n- alan wakenduring gameplay laptop was completely cool and almost sound-less and I've seen only high end imported ASUS laptops doing that.n3. Dell Service and support!!n4. The completely neglected point- core i7 processor (which here is not the big deal for obvious reasons (2 cores and low clock speed)).n5. Battery backup 8 hours(playing movies, internet etc)(Yes, i am surprized too!!)nnGo for It if u cant manage to gather 75k for Lenevo 510p cause for me another 15k was too significant. I'll rather buy some mind-blowing peripherals like Razor gaming mouse and keyboard in that amoount.nMy personal Rating 4/5
The i7 4500U is a dual core CPU which is even slower than 3rd gen i5 3230M processor. Only advantage of this laptop is radeon HD 8850M but since it's AMD card you might experience compatibility issues with some specific games. The price 68790 is quite high as well. I have a great Gaming experiance with this laptop.It playes all new games eg-Crysis3 fifa 13 nfs mw 2 all are set to high resolution without LAG as it is a performance laptop.I had not face any problem from three months. Battrey backup is awesome last for 6 hrs (high performance).HEATING ISSUE not at all recommended to purchase this lappy at this price no one can beat this.
It is an excellent laptop with great specifications. Only thing its a dual core. Touch Feature is really good.
If you are looking for a gaming laptop at this price range then this is it! Just go for it if you want to run the current and upcoming games at med-high settings.n-The processor is i7-4500U which is a dual core and can support 2 threads per core, And games usually depend on multithreading per core[performance of each core] in this case each core benchmark is pretty good for games as they max out on each core and go to another for which u need not always have to get a quad core.nClock speed is 1.8 but Intel turbo boost can offer upto 3 Gigs depending on the requirement.n-The GPU is 2GB 8850M GDDR5, One of the best GPU's u can get at this price range others are well of DDR3... Games mostly depend on GPU than an CPU and in this case 70% of the game requirements is done by this gpu.n-Windows 8.1 - You can get the reviews from many websites.n-Battery Life around 3 hrsn-Touch pad and keyboard not the best i could say, could have been better.n-Touch is awesome responds very well and can make various touch gestures just like a smartphone.nnGames in played are NFS Rivals which i got 20-25 fps in high settingsnAC4 Black Flag 30 fps in high.
