TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

Film debut of Gary Sinise.

Filming took place during the coldest winter in Utah in 83 years. The temperature dropped about thirty degrees during the night, when much of the action takes place.

The mansion was actually a three-wall set, constructed in a remote area in the Utah hills.

The interiors of the mansion were built in the gymnasium of a local high school. The attic set was constructed on the stage of the school's theater.

The film-makers scouted then Yugoslavia as the filming location before settling on Utah, as snow in Yugoslavia had been notoriously unstable the last few years before filming , and there was no money to make massive amounts of snow in the budget.

Popular Dialogues

"Bud Miller: You trust these fuckin' Nazis, Stan? Older German Soldier: [in German] Who are you calling Nazis? We're not Nazis! We're the German Army!"

"Will Knott: I'm not exactly sure what country we're in. Could be Belgium, Luxembourg, France, or even Germany. I don't know what day it is. I have no watch, so I don't know what time it is. I'm not even sure of my name. The next thing you know, they'll be making me a general."
