The city was very accommodating to the crew. Leonard not only served as the location for three weeks but is the city mentioned in both the BTFS novel and final film. A final week was spent shooting in and around Dallas.
Madison Burge (Becky on Friday Night Lights), India Eisley (Secret Life of the American Teenager and daughter of Olivia Hussey) and Gia Mantegna (13 Going on 30 and daughter of Joe Mantegna) all auditioned for the role of Anne Wells. The role went to Texas actor, Cherami Leigh.
Barry Corbin's (Chief Burns) grandson, Jordan Walker Ross plays Clifford in the film but never had a scene together and was seldom on set at the same time.
