Boston Strangler is a crime drama film that tells the story of a journalist who happens to discover the pattern between gruesome murders by a murderer in Boston. She pursues the case only for the betterment of women in the area. The movie's direction and cinematography are intriguing, as the director approaches the story in a rather newspaper noir fashion. Keira Knightley is brilliant as always in the role of a wife and mother working as a journalist. Her combination with Carrie Coon makes it a powerful duo who command most of the screen time. Several private driveways on Statler and Waterhouse Roads were rented to park 1960s vehicles. For the next two days, filming took place in the South End. Scenes were shot on Dwight Street between Tremont Street and Shawmut Avenue.
