TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

This film is inspired by real events occuring in Wales 2007-2013, where a large group of teenagers comitted suicide over time. No one knew why they did.

The poem that is read in school (and can also be heard in the trailer) is Dylan Thomas' "And Death Shall Have No Dominion".

Filmed in Pontycymer and Blaengarw in the Garw Valley, Bridgend, South Wales.

Hannah Murray (Sara) and Josh O'Connor (Jamie) were dating while filming.

Hannah Murray revealed that actors and director Jeppe Rønde agreed that in this film they would not going to fake anything. "It's got to feel real, and it's got to feel true. I was being dragged around by Steve Waddington. I banged my head against a wall for real. I was swimming naked in a lake in November. I quite like that kind of thing, because our job as an actor can be a bit namby-pamby and silly sometimes, and people think it's not a proper job. But most actors are like, 'Look at my scars! I'm really tough!' Me and Josh were comparing scars. I'm a really good actor because I've got a bruise on my wrist! But yeah, it was just exhausting in all those ways," Murray said.

Popular Dialogues

"[first lines] Sara: [riding in a car] I don't remember this. Dave: It hasn't changed much. Look out for number 42. Sara: Okay."
