Shabnam Kapoor's son Amit made his debut as producer. It has been reported that Shabnam Kapoor's who had signed Sushmita Sen for her forthcoming film Chehraa has lodged a complaint against her with Association Of Motion Pictures and Television Program Producers. In a recent press release Kapoor said that she had approached Sushmita Sen to play the lead in a film that would mark the debut of her son as a producer. Sushmita accepted the role but later on conveyed a message that she would not be able to shoot for my film because she had developed a serious back problem. According to Kapoor that was not true because Sush was able to shoot for Mahesh's film and had also completed a schedule of Boney Kapoor's Bewafa in Canada. Shabnam Kapoor today is demanding not only the signing amount but also damages she suffered and wants a hefty compensation from Sushmita Sen. However Sushmita Sen's secretary Pankaj Kharbanda maintained that Sushmita sen has had a lower back problem and they have proof of it. He said they are agreeable to return the signing amount but will not pay any compensation. Meanwhile Bipasha Basu has replaced Sushmita Sen in the film.
The film did not have a theatrical release in British Columbia,Canada.
