Eddie Rosales who played the shaman in the movie's dream sequence was actually speaking in Filipino.

Donald Sutherland's character has a line in the movie, "If the odds are in their favor", which is similar to "may be the odds be in their favor" spoken by his character, President Snow, in The Hunger Games (2012) trilogy.

The first of two movies in which Chris Evans appears where the protagonist describes the proceedings of the current situation of his/her life as an anthropological experiment, the subsequent movie being The Nanny Diaries (2007).

It's the second movie, where Elizabeth Perkins portrayed Kristen Stewart mother. The first was Speak (2004).

According to Griffin Dunne, the director, this movie had a "difficult release" followed by his next film (The Accidental Wife) not having any release, going straight to DVD, so he returned to acting.
