TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

Judy was written out of the film after Pixie Lott opted not to reprise her role. Her agency didn't allow her to appear in further "Fred" films.

The title is a pun on the horror classic, Night of the Living Dead (1968), even though the central antagonist is a vampire instead of a zombie.

The film was originally intended for a theatrical release, the production company went as far as to shoot the film with 3D cameras for a 3D release as well. Ultimately neither became a reality as Fred 2 ended up airing as a TV Movie like the previous film.

The only actors to reprise their roles from the first film are Lucas Cruikshank as Fred, Jake Weary as Kevin, Stephanie Courtney as Kevin's mom, Siobhan Fallon as Fred's mom and John Cena as Fred's imaginary dad. Bertha was recast with Daniella Monet after Jeanette McCurdy turned down the offer to reprise her role. Ariel Winter plays a newly written character to replace Judy, who was written out of the film after Pixie Lott couldn't reprise her role.

As Pixie Lott couldn't reprise her role, archive footage and sound is used instead and the explanation that she and Fred broke up. The break up scene at an airport is a spoof of Casablanca (1942). Cruikshank fills in for the role of Judy in drag.
