The film's original director was Deepak Shivdasani. But due to differences with producer Mukesh Duggal, he was asked to leave the film after 80% of it was complete. Duggal then completed the film and credited himself as director.
Divya Bharti was replaced by Karishma Kapoor .
The song "Hai Hukku" was such a rage that a remix album was released titled Hai Hukku (The Raggamuffin Style) remixed by Three Little Boyz. This was in 1995.
When Deepak Shivdasani started the movie Mr White Mr Black, it was initially titled "Gopi Kishen".
Farheen was signed for the film but later replaced by Shilpa Shirodkar.
