TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

Honey Daniels (Jessica Alba) does not appear in the film despite the title bearing her name, her mother and her dance studio do appear however, and she is mentioned a few times in dialogue. Also if looking closely at the shelf when Connie is watching Maria dance on TV, a photograph of Honey Daniels can be seen.

The only characters from the previous film that come back are Connie (Lonette McKee), who is Honey Daniels' mother. Laurieann Gibson, who played Katrina in the first film, reprises her role, this time serving as a judge despite being credited as Rebecca.

Although the film was released straight to DVD and Blu-ray in the US, it received a theatrical release internationally.
