the success of Kaksparsh, a Hindi and Tamil remake of Kaksparsh is also being directed by Mahesh Manjrekar titled Dear Dad with Arvind Swamy ,Tanuja,Ketaki Mategaonkar,Milind Soman Adinath Kothare, Tisca Chopra as the leads.
Medha Manjrekar's role was earlier offered to another actress who did not turn up hence Mahesh Majrekar cast her in the role.
Kaksparsh was shot in the real locations than sets and was mainly shot in Paalshet, a village near Guhagar in Konkan.
As the film's story-line was set around 1930-1950, Manjrekar was concerned about the authentic production design for the film. He appointed two production designers, Prashant Rane and Abhishek Vijaykar, who had challenges of depicting Pre and post Indian independence era.
