Ajith Kumar's name in this movie is Bharath Subramaniam. When his first name and last name are reversed, you get the name Subramania Bharati, the famous Tamil poet who often spoke about women empowerment.
It is a official remake of the Hindi film "Pink" starting Amitabh Bachchan.
Vidya Balan, who makes a special appearance in the film, makes her official tamil debut. Earlier in her film career, she was to debut with Tamil Manasellam (2003), but things did not materialize and was replaced by Trisha Krishnan.
