The film's protagonist Lucky's character is based on a real Delhi thief who was caught by police with 200 Sarees which he had stolen. The local media the presented him as 'Superchor' (Super Thief) and being inspired from that the film has a song 'Superchor'.
Once in the film, Dolly boasts of her Canadian husband in front of Sonam. After a few weeks of the movie's music release, a popular radio station 'Radio Mantra' broadcasted a commercial in which two woman are chatting and one of them is boasting about the Canadian home accessories brought by her husband. The song which plays in the commercial's background is The film's title track "Oye Lucky Lucky Oye".
