TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

This is the first adaptation of a Richard Stark/Parker novel to use the character name Parker, the name from the novels. Although the following movies are based on the "Parker" novels, the name was always changed: Point Blank (1967) (Walker); The Split (1968) (McClain); The Outfit (1973) (Macklin); Slayground (1983) (Stone); and Payback (1999) (Porter).

The first Parker film since author Donald E. Westlake's death in 2008. Westlake is credited under his famous pseudonym Richard Stark, under which he wrote all of the Parker novels.

A sex scene was shot between Jennifer Lopez and Jason Statham which is not in the theatrical release.

Parker calls his girlfriend and her phone displays a caller ID of (504) 723-2343, which a Google search reveals to be the phone number of a Louisiana film crew person with the last name of Parker (who doesn't appear to have worked on this movie).

While talking with Parker in the lobby of the hotel, Leslie (Jennifer Lopez) appears to be referencing Maid in Manhattan (2002) by telling him that she was in the management training program there before she got married. Leslie goes on to say she could have got him a great discount 11 years ago, which is when Maid in Manhattan was released.

Popular Dialogues

"Leslie Rodgers: How do you sleep at night? Parker: I don't drink coffee after 7."

"Parker: [torturing man with a bar stool] If you don't tell me what I need to know, I'm gonna press down on this chair until it crushes your trachea. Trust me, it's agonizing. Plus, there's the posthumous humiliation of having been killed with a chair."
