Pavitra Paapi is a 1970 drama starring Balraj Sahni, Parikshit Sahni, Tanuja and others. Pannalal loses his job because Kedarnath is hired in his place. He curses Kedarnath and writes a suicide note to him and then disappears. Out of guilt Kedarnath starts helping his family. In the process he falls in love with Pannalal's daughter Veena. When Pannalal's wife tells him that Veena's wedding has been fixed he helps out. He even steals money and gives it for the wedding and leaves. Will he meet Veena again?

Parikshit Sahani wrote Pavitra Paapi because he wanted to direct it but the producer Rajendra Bhatia made him the films hero and himself directed the film.
Film was shoot in Jind (Haryana), Ambala (Haryana) & Delhi.
