Each episode was streamed three days in advance of the TV broadcast from April 2, 2024 on U-NEXT, Anime Houdai, and Crunchyroll. Regular broadcasting began April 5, 2024.

A sequel light novel series to the original light novel this anime is based on, written by Kanekiru and illustrated by Naji Yanagida, titled Re:Monster: Ankoku Tairiku-hen, began publication by AlphaPolis in July 2018.

Based on a Japanese light novel series written by Kogitsune Kanekiru and illustrated by Yamaada. It was serialized online between May 2011 and 2018 on the user-generated novel publishing website Shosetsuka ni Narou. It was later acquired by AlphaPolis, who have published nine main volumes, a side story volume and an extra volume between August 2012 and August 2017.
