Kapil Sharma has announced a new comedy show with the streaming platform, Netflix. Host of the popular ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’, he will now move to Netflix where a new show has been teased with fellow members from the original cast. The release date hasn’t been announced yet but Netflix made the announcement through a teaser video.

Netflix and Kapil Sharma announced the new show through a teaser video where they also confirmed other members that will be part of it. The lineup includes Archana Puran Singh, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda and Rajiv Thakur, all members of The Kapil Sharma Show. All four members of the show are introduced in the teaser video with the concept of them moving to a “new home”.
Details of the show haven’t been revealed yet but according to the teaser it’s going to be “a new show, in a new perspective, where we will laugh, make you laugh, do a lot of masti.” Since it’s the same cast we’re expecting a similar theme of a talk show with celebrity guests, and comedy skits.
The Kapil Sharma Show has been running for eight years now with the first season having aired in 2016. The series is set in the Shantivan Non Co-operative Housing Society with Kapil Sharma and his neighbours. The comedy show, however, went off air earlier this year as the host decided to take a break, according to reports. But with the new announcement, it’s now confirmed that Kapil Sharma will be returning with a new show on Netflix.
This would be Kapil Sharma’s third comedy show with the first one ‘Comedy Nights With Kapil’ that aired back in 2013. With the latest stint, Kapil Sharma’s comedy show will also be making its OTT debut.
