Cartoonist from Mad Magazine and of several TV Guide covers Jack Davis did the illustration for the poster which can also be seen in the closing credits during the theme song.
All and all, Sammy Davis Jr. played four instruments during his musical numbers for this film ( double bass, trumpet, and drums for his first instrumental number and electric guitar for his second performance ).
The title song played over the end credits concludes with Sammy singing: "Next time I'm gonna get the girl, that's definite," a Bond-like hint of a sequel, which did occur with One More Time (1970).
The customized, yellow Secret Agent car that Charles Salt drives has a control panel on the dashboard with the letters B-N-O-J-S-X. These letters stand for the various secret agent things the car can do. Press the "O" button, and the car sprays OIL behind it, making the street so oily the pursuing car will spin out. Press the "S" button and the car will produce so much SMOKE, that it acts like a smoke-screen and the driver in the pursuing car can't see anything. And so on.
Instead of a card reading The End the film ends with "It's Over" displayed on-screen.
"Christopher Pepper: [the Inspector had just called him "Mr. Salt"] I'm Pepper, he's Salt. Inspector Crabbe: Odd. Charles Salt: Isn't it?"
"Charles Salt: Colonel. Colonel, let's get one thing straight now, huh? We don't want to get mixed up in this thing. I can give you four good reasons why we don't want to get mixed up in this thing: One, it ain't any of our business. Two, we're night club operators. Three, if you want secret agents, then go get James Bond or those two guys on television; the one that plays tennis, you know? Four, our dance card is filled. So, ciao, Colonel. Let's get out of here."
