Jürgen Prochnow (who plays Arnold Schwarzenegger) was coincidentally one of the actors considered for the role of The Terminator.
Roland Kickinger would later take over Arnold Schwarzenegger's role as The Terminator in Terminator Salvation (2009). However, his body would only be recognizable from the neck down, as his face was replaced with a digital copy of a young Schwarzenegger's face, taken from a make-up cast made for the original film.
