TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

Tom Waits, an animal lover, agreed to the role without reading the script upon hearing he would be surrounded by rabbits.

Billy's (Sam Rockwell's) dog hat was not originally part of the wardrobe. Colin Farrell bought it during a road trip with Rockwell and put it on his head.

In the graveyard scene, the grave that the Jack of Diamonds killer is hiding behind is named "Rourke". Mickey Rourke was initially cast in the movie, but dropped out after disagreements with writer and director Martin McDonagh. He was replaced by Woody Harrelson.

To the premiere of the film, Sam Rockwell and Colin Farrell wore matching shirts with a cartoon depiction of their costar Christopher Walken on them.

The character of Charles Costello (Woody Harrelson) is a ruthless gangster whose only real affection is for his small dog and will kill people to recover it. This role was originally intended for Mickey Rourke, who in real life is known to have great affection for his small dogs.

Popular Dialogues

"Paulo: Put your hands up! Hans: No. Paulo: What? Hans: I said no. Paulo: Why not? Hans: Because I don't want to. Paulo: But I've got a gun... Hans: I don't care. Paulo: It doesn't make any sense! Hans: Too bad!"

"Zachariah: I'm going to be over to kill you Tuesday. Marty: [Nods] . That's good, I'm not doing anything Tuesday."
