Severance is a science fiction psychological thriller series that tells the story of the harmless-looking staff of Lumon Industries who agree to severance programmes in which their non-work lives are separate from their work lives. The show direction and cinematography are solid, as Ben Stiller puts together his classic style of direction in this crazy ride. Actor Adam Scott shines through in the lead role, as his character figures out the mystery behind the divide. And, the supporting cast that includes Zach Cherry, Britt Lower, Tramell Tillman, Jen Tullock, Dichen Lachman, Michael Chernus, John Turturro, Christopher Walken, and Patricia Arquette, acts as a superb anchor to the story. Further, the themes of mystery and science fiction are present throughout the show, as it presents a unique and refreshing concept in the genre. Overall, Severance is a superb Apple TV+ production, which presents science fiction that is both scary and thought-provoking.

On April 6, 2022, Apple renewed the series for a second season.
Look up the address on google maps, 101 Crawfords Corner Rd Holmdel NJ, and from the aerial view you'll also see the roadways look like a transistor (as does the water tower). The transistor was invented there and the design pays tribute to it.
Greenlit by Apple in 2019 with Ben Stiller as director, filming for the series started in New York City under the working title of "Tumwater" in October 2020.
