A Chicago working class household with a family head named Frank Gallagher living under the same roof with his six children. His children suffer because of his never ending alcohol consumption habit. Fiona, the eldest daughter of this household, looks out for everyone in this family. The scene when Fiona was leaving was one of the show's melancholy scenes, yet watching as she raised a lot of children who were all resilient and courageous was absolutely wonderful to watch. Although Frank might appear to be a horrible parent, you can see snippets of how much he wholeheartedly loves his family, not to mention how humorous he is. Though Fiona is the family's adhesive, Lip is the soul, as seen by how he defends and supports his brothers and sisters through it all. I could go on and on about the fantastic characters and talented actors. It's a must watch show.
