The End Of The F***ing World Review

The End of the F***ing World is a dark comedy drama series that follows the story of James and Alyssa, two teenage outsiders who embark on a road trip together. James, who believes he is a psychopath, plans to murder Alyssa, but as they spend more time together, their relationship begins to evolve and they find themselves on a journey of self-discovery. The series features an outstanding cast of young actors, including Alex Lawther and Jessica Barden, who deliver powerful and unique performances. The show's direction and cinematography are equally impressive, with a visually stunning and immersive style. The show's themes of adolescence, mental health, and the search for identity are explored in a raw and honest manner. The series is dark and intense, but it also has moments of humor and tenderness that add depth and complexity to the characters and their relationships. Overall, The End of the F***ing World is a well-crafted and compelling series that offers a fresh and unique take on the coming-of-age genre.

TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

Unlike many shows that use video filters to show that a certain scene is a flashback, this show puts the flashbacks in the 4:3 aspect ratio.

Though they play 17 year olds on the show, stars Jessica Barden and Alex Lawther were actually 25 and 22 years of age respectively.

Based on the graphic novel by Charles Forsman.

Jessica Barden is the only actress to reprise her role from TEOTFW (2014), which is considered as the pilot to this series.

Although the show takes place in the present, all the cars shown were well out of production at the time of filming, even police cars and taxis.

Popular Dialogues
