Netflix reportedly paid US $18 million for the US distribution rights to the film.
Amber Midthunder, who plays Tantoo, was also in Liam Neeson's previous film The Marksman (2021). She played the Gas Station Clerk who gave him the roadmap for free.
This is the first film directed by Jonathan Hensleigh in 10 years. His last feature length film was Kill the Irishman (2011).
Liam Neeson and Benjamin Walker also co-starred in Kinsey (2004), Walker's film debut. Walker played Neeson's character, Alfred Kinsey, at age 19.
The soundtrack will comprise mostly country and Americana songs, but will also include a cover of 'I've Been Everywhere' by The L.A. Rats, which is the debut recording by a hard rock "supergroup" of Rob Zombie, Nikki Sixx, John 5, and Tommy Clufetos.
