TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

Susan Peters was on a hunting trip on January 1, 1945 when her rifle accidentally discharged and she was shot. The accident resulted in her being paralyzed from the waist down. This was the only film she made after the accident.

Among the well-wishers who visited Susan Peters on the set were Glenn Ford, Evelyn Keyes, Larry Parks, Ginger Rogers and Cornel Wilde, all of whom were under contract to or working at Columbia at the time.

Charles Bickford brought the Margaret Ferguson novel to Susan Peters' attention, through her agent. She interested retired director Irving Cummings in the property, Cummings formed an independent company with the Orsatti agency to produce the film. Under the deal they arranged with Columbia, Peters received one-third of the profits.

Although this was heralded as Susan Peters' comeback film, it turned out to be her final feature film.

The title refers to the zodiac sign Aries, for people born from March 20 to April 19.
