HP appears to have given this AMD powered laptop the best in many spheres, including display, configuration, storage and connectivity. A wider palette of colors would have been the icing on the cake, but even without it, this device is ideal for anyone seeking a budget laptop that delivers all-round performance.

Design and Display

HP has provided its latest model with a sleek black outer casing. Equally trendy, as well as easy to use, are the full sized island-style keyboard and touchpad with multi-touch gesture support. A 14 inches HD (1366 x 768 pixels resolution) LED display ensures that one gets the very best of visual experiences on this device.

Processor and OS

The 14-B012AU packs sufficient power thanks to the 1.4GHz AMD APU Dual Core processor (E1-1200 variant) that is paired with a decent 2GB of RAM. Excellent gaming support is ensured by the AMD Radeon HD 7310 GPU. With this device, one also gets the latest Windows 8 OS.
