Interestingly, the listing also includes the Zenfone 11 Ultra at the end but speculations are rife that this could be a rebrand of the ROG Phone 8 or 8 Pro as the model number is almost identical to other devices on the listing.
ASUS ROG Phone 8, 8 Pro appear on Bluetooth SIG
- The ASUS ROG Phone 8, and ROG 8 Pro have received the Bluetooth SIG certification, as spotted by MySmartPrice.
- The listing doesn’t reveal any specifications of the phones except for Bluetooth 5.4 but it looks like we are nearing the launch event.
- The listing shows the model number ASUS_AI2401.
- As said, there are multiple models listed on the certification, including the Zenfone 11 Ultra but they all have the same model number, except for the suffix, which has the letters A, B, C and more.
The ROG Phone 8 series may have a total of three models, including the ROG Phone 8, 8 Pro and 8 Ultimate, which will be the top-end version. All three models will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC but the Ultimate variant may feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy, which will have a higher clock speed.
The chipset could be paired with up to 24GB RAM. While the storage option details are not revealed, we expect up to 1TB. The phone could run on Android 14 OS out of the box and feature 65W fast charging support. No other details about the phones are revealed at the moment but since the ROG lineup is aimed at gamers, we expect some design aesthetics like ROG lighting, a secondary screen on the back and more.
