Alleged Redmi Note 17 Pro bags 3C certification ahead of expected July launch
Leaks around Xiaomi’s next iteration of its highly popular Redmi Note series are gaining momentum. Shortly after leaks around the Redmi Note 17 series’ specifications emerged, an upcoming Xiaomi smartphone, believed to be the Redmi Note 17 Pro, has appeared on China’s 3C certification platform. This is the first official hint that the first model in the Redmi Note 17 lineup may debut soon. While Xiaomi hasn’t officially the device, the certification offers an early look at one notable upgrade.
Redmi Note 17 Pro expected specifications
A Xiaomi smartphone carrying the model number 2607DRA18C has received certification from China’s 3C authority. As per previous leaks, this phone is said to be a part of the Redmi Note 17 lineup. The listing suggests the device could ship with a 67W charger, marking a noticeable upgrade over the 45W charging offered by the Redmi Note 15 and Redmi Note 15 Pro launched in China last year.

Other leaked specifications point to a flat OLED display with a 1.5K resolution, a Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset and a massive 9,000mAh battery. The phone is also expected to feature a 50MP primary rear camera. If these specifications turn out to be accurate, Redmi would be continuing the recent industry trend of pairing mid-range processors with much larger batteries. Several brands, including Honor, OnePlus and Realme, have recently introduced or teased smartphones with battery capacities well beyond the traditional 7,000mAh mark, signalling that battery life is becoming a bigger selling point in the mid-range segments.
