Alleged Xiaomi 12S live image leaks, reveals triple cameras with Leica branding
Xiaomi's first phone with Leica branded optics could be launching soon.
Xiaomi and Leica have announced a partnership to bring world-class photography to the company’s upcoming phones. The first phone to come out of the association could be the Xiaomi 12S. While we wait for the big announcement probably in July, we now have the alleged live image of the phone, which clearly shows the Leica branding within the camera module on the back. We also get to see the model number of the phone 2206123SC (the C at the end could mean that it will be a China variant).
The Xiaomi 12s alleged image shows the phone has the same camera module design as the Xiaomi 12 series. A large camera sensor on top, followed by two regular cutouts and an LED flash. This time, we also get to see the Leica branding as well.

Xiaomi 12S live image leaks online
An alleged Xiaomi 12S live image has leaked online. The handset has a similar camera layout as the Xiaomi 12 series. It has triple camera sensors and an LED flash. The phone can be seen in a Silver colour but there could be other options at launch.
For those unaware, the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12S Pro phones have passed through the IMEI database last month. According to rumours, the handset is said to come with the latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, probably an AMOLED display and a 120Hz refresh rate. Though the camera module looks like the Xiaomi 12, we can expect some improvements and additions to the camera hardware.
The Xiaomi 12S Pro, on the other hand, is said to flaunt a 2K LTPO 2.0 micro curve display with a centre-positioned cutout for the selfie snapper and a 120Hz refresh rate. It could be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen1 chipset and 50MP triple cameras on the back.
The Xiaomi 12S is expected to debut in China in July and should probably expand to global markets and India in the near future. However, we can’t pinpoint the exact launch date or timeline just yet.
