ASUS has launched the Vivobook 14 X1404MA and Vivobook 15 X1504MA in India, with up to Intel Core 7 Series 3 processors and dedicated NPUs. The new laptops target students and young professionals who want a thin-and-light Windows machine with AI features, longer battery life, better privacy and military-grade durability. Let’s check out their features and specifications below.
The new Vivobook 14 and Vivobook 15 can be configured with up to an Intel Core 7 350 processor and a dedicated NPU rated at up to 17 TOPS, which should help with on-device AI tasks and everyday responsiveness. The laptops come with up to 16GB of DDR5 memory and up to 512GB PCIe 4.0 SSD storage, which should make them suitable for multitasking, quick boot times and smoother app launches.
Both laptops use a Full HD IPS display with an 84 percent screen-to-body ratio and optional touch input on select models. ASUS also includes a 720p HD camera with a privacy shutter, an integrated fingerprint sensor, SonicMaster audio, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3 and a 42Wh battery. The company says the Vivobooks meet US MIL-STD-810H durability standards and use a 180-degree lay-flat hinge for easier sharing and collaboration.

The Vivobook 15 X1504MA starts at Rs 75,990 and is available at ASUS Exclusive Stores, e-commerce platforms, and authorised ASUS partners. The Vivobook 14 X1404MA starts at Rs 107,990 and will go on sale from 26 July through ASUS Exclusive Stores, ASUS eShop and authorised partners.
The new Vivobooks sit in the same space as other thin-and-light laptops from Samsung, HP and Lenovo. Many rivals at this level offer premium displays, metal builds or better graphics, while ASUS is relying on its 17 TOPS NPU, military-grade durability, bundled Office Home 2024 and easy EMI plans to make the pitch more appealing.
They seem to be a good fit for everyday work, classes and light AI tasks, but creators and gamers may find better value in similarly priced laptops with stronger graphics or more advanced screens.
