CMF Phone 2 Pro launched in India earlier this year, in April, as the second phone from Nothing’s then sub-brand. CMF is now an independent subsidiary with India as its headquarters. While we wait for CMF to launch a new phone, the CMF Phone 2 Pro is currently available for Rs 14,999, after a flat discount from its launch price of Rs 18,999. This is for the 128GB variant. The 256GB model is available at a discounted price of Rs 16,999. This suggests it’s a good time to buy the CMF Phone 2 Pro, but is it worth the purchase? Let’s find out.
Starting with the specifications, the CMF Phone 2 Pro has a 6.77-inch (1080 x 2392 pixels) FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, 3000 nits peak brightness, and Panda Glass protection. It’s powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro 4nm processor with 8GB LPDD4X RAM and up to 256GB UFS 2.2 storage. The smartphone has a 50MP primary camera with EIS, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP 2x telephoto camera. For selfies, you get a 16MP front camera. It packs a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. More details include an IP54 rating, Android 15 with Nothing OS 3.2, and 3 Android OS updates + 6 years of security updates.

Just based on specs alone, and against phones under Rs 15,000, the CMF Phone 2 Pro has key advantages, including its bright AMOLED display, versatile camera setup with a telephoto lens, capable chipset, and long-term software support. Add to that its sleek, slim, and unique design in White, Black, Orange, and Light Green colours, the CMF Phone 2 Pro does sound like a steal at this price. You also get a rotating wheel at the back to clip on a lanyard or Wallet and stand, and you can attach camera lenses as well.
But how does the phone perform in benchmarks and real-world use? Here’s a recap of our review to give you a better idea:
In our review, we found that the CMF Phone 2 Pro’s display is sharp, vibrant, and highly responsive, staying easily readable even under Delhi’s harsh sun. Its slim bezels and wide viewing angles make it ideal for watching movies and shows.
The CMF Phone 2 Pro’s camera results are mixed. The 50MP main lens captures sharp, detailed shots but often oversaturates colours in daylight and portraits. The telephoto lens shows a clear colour shift and produces softer images with less detail and shadow depth than the primary camera. The ultrawide lens is underwhelming, lacking detail and colour accuracy even in good light. Low-light shots show noise and poor detail, and while night mode brightens images, it compromises sharpness. Overall, the CMF Phone 2 Pro performs decently but struggles with colour accuracy and low-light photography.
In benchmarks, the CMF Phone 2 Pro gets modest scores against phones in its original price bracket. Under Rs 15,000, though, it’s one of the highest. Even so, the CMF Phone 2 Pro handles intensive gaming and long sessions smoothly, thanks to effective thermal management. It also offers a solid balance of power, efficiency, and heat control, making it a strong choice for both regular and heavy users.

Nothing OS 3.2 on the CMF Phone 2 Pro is easily the cleanest software in its class, featuring only 27 pre-installed apps, which are all either proprietary or Google-made. With zero third-party apps, the experience is truly bloat-free and streamlined. It also includes the Essential Space feature, promoted as “your second memory.”
The CMF Phone 2 Pro packs a 5,000mAh battery that, thanks to good optimisation, lasts a full day for most users despite rivals offering larger capacities. It supports 33W fast charging with a charger in the box, taking about an hour from 20 percent to full, or 75–80 minutes from zero, which is slightly slower than competitors. While this battery setup should be good enough, there are phones like the Redmi 15 offering a 7,000mAh battery, and iQOO Z10x with a 6,500mAh battery, all under Rs 15,000.

Should you buy the phone?
The CMF Phone 2 Pro is a compelling option under Rs 15,000, especially for those who value a bright AMOLED display, versatile camera setup, sleek design, and long-term software support. Its clean software experience, solid performance, and effective thermal management make it suitable for both regular and power users.
However, if photography in low-light or ultrawide shots is a priority, or if you want faster charging or a larger battery, alternatives like the Redmi 15 (review) or Tecno POVA 7 (review) may be worth considering.
For most users, the CMF Phone 2 Pro offers a balanced package at its discounted price, making it a worthwhile purchase.
