The upcoming budget iPhone model has been imported under model numbers A2595, A2783, and A2784 for testing purposes. It is said to be priced at around $300 (~Rs 23,000). While our sources haven’t mentioned the exact marketing name of the handset, we can safely assume it will be the long-rumoured iPhone SE 3.
According to initial reports, iPhone SE 3 will feature a similar design as the iPhone SE 2, with a 4.7-inch display, thick bezels, and a Touch ID sensor. However, there are other reports claiming it might look similar to the iPhone XR with a notch and that it will measure 138.4 x 67.3 x 7.3mm (8.2mm thickness with camera bump included). The smartphone is said to arrive with either the A14 Bionic or the newer A15 Bionic chipset and reportedly has 5G network connectivity.
Coming back to the info we have received, sources tell us that in addition to the iPhones, two new iPads have been imported as well. The first one — with model numbers A2588 and A2589 — could be the rumoured iPad Air refresh. It carries a price tag of $500-700 (so ~Rs 37,500-52,300).
Then there’s the cheaper, budget iPad priced at roughly $300 (~Rs 22,500) that has been imported to India for testing. This budget iPad has model numbers A2757 and A2761.
It should be noted the final prices of the iPhone SE 3, the next iPad Air, and the upcoming budget iPad will likely be a little higher than what’s the import data mentions due to the import duty and other levies. These abovementioned prices should only serve as an indicator for the type of products you can expect in the near future from Apple.
Since the rumoured spring event is not until March/April, we should start learning more details about the upcoming devices over the next few weeks.
