iQOO is bringing an ‘Ultra’ smartphone for the first time with the iQOO 15 Ultra. As the name suggests, the iQOO 15 Ultra will be the most expensive and powerful model in the lineup. iQOO has been teasing the upcoming phone, and now it has revealed the 15 Ultra’s complete design and colour options. An official launch date hasn’t been announced yet, but the iQOO 15 Ultra is confirmed to debut in early February. iQOO has always been known for its performance-first phones, and the 15 Ultra seems to be taking things further for the brand.
The iQOO 15 Ultra looks quite different from its sibling, the iQOO 15. It’s still a square camera module on the Ultra, but it looks much larger now with the camera sensors more evident, and a new horizontal light strip. The overall look is very futuristic with a honeycomb design at the centre. There are two colour variants of the iQOO 15 Ultra with sci-fi codenames: 2049 Cold Blue and 2077 Flowing Orange. The smartphone also has gaming shoulder buttons on the side frame.
The design of the iQOO 15 Ultra clearly reinforces the phone’s focus here, which is gaming and performance. Although not as gaming-centric as the ROG or the RedMagic phones, the iQOO 15 Ultra’s design appears to offer a good balance between those wanting gaming aesthetics but something that can still pass off as a premium look.
Beyond its design, the iQOO 15 Ultra is clearly positioned as a performance-centric device. iQOO has shared AnTuTu benchmark scores exceeding 4.5 million for the phone, which would place it among the highest scores recorded on the platform so far. Notably, the brand claims this figure does not represent the handset’s peak performance, indicating further headroom.
The smartphone is also tipped to feature the largest cooling fan in its segment. It is said to use a 17 × 17 × 4mm active cooling fan, with the air intake positioned below the rear camera module and the exhaust on the side frame. This active cooling setup should help sustain performance over extended gaming sessions, making the iQOO 15 Ultra better suited for prolonged heavy workloads. More gaming-focused features are teased to debut on the iQOO 15 Ultra.
The iQOO 15 Ultra is confirmed to ship with UFS 3.1 storage. The memory variants could start with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage, and go up to 24GB RAM and 1TB storage.
Several details are still under wraps, but it’s clear that the iQOO 15 Ultra is being positioned squarely around performance. The phone has the makings of a serious gaming-focused device, with hardware aimed at handling sustained, intensive workloads. For now, the iQOO 15 Ultra is confirmed to launch in China, with no official word on an India release. If it does make its way to the Indian market, it would likely emerge as a strong contender in the gaming smartphone segment. Those considering an upgrade might want to keep an eye on this device if sustained performance is a priority
