itel Zeno 100 Pro launched in India under Rs 9,000; a couple of power banks tag along

itel continues to expand its presence in the budget sub-Rs 10,000 segment in India with the release of the Zeno 100 Pro, a durability and design-focused device. Priced at just Rs 8,599, this is a 4G-only smartphone that caters to first-time smartphone buyers or those seeking a secondary phone for basic use. Launching alongside the Zeno 100 Pro are two power banks, named the Zeno 20,000 mAh power bank and Zeno 10,000 mAh power bank, marking the brand’s further penetration into the mobile accessory segment.

As stated above, the itel Zeno 100 Pro retails for Rs 8,599, with the smartphone already up for grabs on Amazon. The handset is available in three colourways: Comet Orange, Black, and Cloud White, all of which carry military-grade certification (MIL-STD-810H) for absorbing shocks caused by accidental drops.

For this price, you get a 6.6-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate. While the details may not appear as sharp as on phones with 1080p resolution, you can still expect a relatively usable experience.

Complementing the display is a single speaker that carries DTS-powered sound technology, while the Dynamic Bar on the display’s status bar notifies users about calls, notifications, and battery status. Towards the back, you can find an 8MP camera, while up front there’s a 5MP selfie shooter. Taking cues from higher-priced smartphones, the phone also gets an IR blaster for controlling home appliances, such as ACs, TVs, and more.

The itel A100 Pro, which features the same processor, achieved 2,03,558 on the AnTuTu benchmark, indicating entry-level performance suitable for light and extremely casual tasks, such as calling, WhatsApp chatting, and watching media.

Unfortunately, it flaunts Android 15 Go, which is quite dated for mid-2026 standards, especially with the Android 17 update around the corner. Powering up the device is a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging support. The charger comes bundled, which is great given the phone’s price.

Given the specifications, the itel Zeno 100 Pro fits the use case of people who want a smartphone but are on an extremely tight budget. On the other hand, it’s also a suitable device for people seeking a secondary phone. Furthermore, with the rising cost of memory, it has become nearly impossible for brands to offer 5G in phones priced under Rs 10,000.
