Known for catering to the sub-Rs 10,000 segment with its A-series lineup, itel has unveiled the A100 in India today, starting at Rs 6,799. To offer a strong and rigid build, the itel A100 is MIL-STD 810H certified for protection against accidental drops or bumps during regular use. Its other headlining feature revolves around the rear design, which subtly adopts the look and feel of high-end smartphones.

While the 3GB + 64GB storage variant starts at Rs 6,799, the 4GB + 64GB storage option will retail for Rs 7,499. As for the availability, the itel A100 can be purchased from offline retail stores across India. The handset sports several colour shades, including Silk Green, Pure Black, and Titanium Gold. To back its durability claims, itel offers a free screen replacement if the display is damaged within 100 days of purchase.

Coming to the on-paper specifications, the itel A100 comes with a 6.6-inch HD+ IPS display with a 90Hz refresh rate, which also carries a water drop notch at the top to house the 5MP selfie camera. Running inside the smartphone is the Unisoc T7100 SoC, the same chipset found on last year’s itel A90. Per our testing of the A90, the processor scored around 1.5 lakh on the AnTuTu (v11) benchmark, indicating entry-level raw performance suitable for basic tasks like calling, chatting on WhatsApp, or watching YouTube videos.

With Android 15 Go software in tow, you get features like UltraLink to make calls or send messages without internet connectivity to others having a supported itel smartphone. Interestingly, there’s also an IR blaster right below the 8MP rear camera to control home appliances. Lastly, the itel A100 gets a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging support, along with a side fingerprint scanner for protecting your data from intruders.

Furthermore, with a screen size of 6.6 inches, it appears to have a tad smaller display and more rounded corners than its rivals, which may translate to a better in-hand grip.
