The Lava Bold N2 is the new budget offering from the domestic smartphone maker in India. The handset is the successor to the Bold N1 4G, which was introduced last year. The successor isn’t entirely different from the previous model, but the company has refreshed the design and made it more durable with IP64 protection against minor splashes of water and dust.
The Lava Bold N2 will cost you Rs 7,499 for the sole 4GB RAM and 64GB storage configuration. If you’re already using the Bold N1, there’s little here to justify an upgrade. However, those stepping up from a feature phone may find the Bold N2 a reasonable starting point.
The handset should manage the basic usage, with a near-stock Android experience. But, if if you want a bit more headroom in terms of performance along with 5G connectivity in this price band, it’s worth considering alternatives, such as the AI+ Nova 5G (review) and Tecno Spark Go (review), which offer a more future-ready proposition within the segment.

The Lava Bold N2 specifications include a 6.75-inch HD+ LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a waterdrop notch for the selfie camera. The handset is powered by an octa-core Unisoc SC9863A SoC, which only supports 4G connectivity. It’s an entry-level chipset that can only handle regular usage, one task at a time.
In optics, the Lava Bold N2 sports a 13MP primary sensor in the new square-shaped camera deco, which also houses an LED flash and a secondary sensor. The front camera is a 5MP shooter for selfies and video calling. The phone houses a 5,000mAh battery with support for 10W wired charging. Software-wise, the handset runs Android 15 (Go) out of the box, which is touted to come with no bloatware or ads and offers a “clean Android experience” to users.
There is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for security and dual SIM card slots. If these specifications appeal to you, the Lava Bold N2 can be bought via Amazon.in in Indus Black and Siachen White colour options. The sale starts from February 27th onwards and Lava is also offering free doorstep servicing for smartphones to customers.
