Exactly one month after the release of the brand-new Virat series, comprising the Virat V1 and Virat V1 5G, Lava has introduced another member to this lineup, the Virat V1 Pro 5G. Positioned above the Virat V1 5G, the smartphone brings an improved primary camera and faster charging, while retaining the same 5G-enabled Unisoc T8200 processor, sizeable 6,000mAh battery, and an IP64 rating for protection against dust and water.

Lava Virat V1 Pro 5G price, sale date, availability

The Lava Virat V1 Pro 5G will retail in India for Rs 15,999 on Flipkart starting August 31st at 12 PM (IST). The handset will be available in a single memory configuration, featuring 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The colourways include Sikkim Midnight and Spiti Frost.

As part of the special launch offer, interested buyers can avail an instant Rs 2,000 discount using a credit card of their choice, bringing the price down to Rs 13,999. Lava also notes that the smartphone will be available through the company’s retail network as the Lava Shark 2 Pro 5G.

Lava Virat V1 Pro 5G specifications and features

Coming to the specifications on offer, the Lava Virat V1 Pro 5G gets a 6.74-inch HD+ display with LCD technology and up to 120Hz refresh rate. Having experienced the Virat V1 5G (review), the entire UI should support 120Hz for smooth day-to-day operations. The panel reaches 550 nits at maximum brightness.

Powered by the Unisoc T8200, Lava claims the handset scores over 5,00,000 on the AnTuTu benchmark, which should be ideal for casual to moderate use cases, such as chatting on WhatsApp, watching videos, and playing light games. The 128GB of onboard storage is expandable up to 1TB with a microSD card, while the phone also supports RAM boost of up to 6GB.
