Motorola Edge 50 Pro teardown video breakdown

• In this video, YouTuber PBKreviews disassembles a Moonlight Pearl variant of Edge 50 Pro.

• He starts by taking out the SIM tray, which has a rubber gasket for ingress protection.
• Then he uses a hairdryer to loosen up the adhesive and separate the plastic back cover. 
• He points at 17 Phillips screws keeping everything beneath the back plate in place. Then he speeds through unscrewing them.
• He goes on to disconnect cables including the one connected to the battery.
• He also detaches the graphite film present over various components including the motherboard. This is meant for heat dissipation.

• We also get a look at things like the laser autofocus, ambient light sensor, NFC antenna, wireless charging coil, rear camera setup, USB-C port, microphone, speaker, vibration motor, fingerprint scanner, liquid damage indicators, display flex cable, etc.
• The speaker and mic get a rubber gasket for ingress resistance.
• Note that the microphone filter is placed such that if you accidentally insert the SIM ejector PIN into this hole, it could get damaged. However, the mic should still be working.
• There is also the use of a bigger copper vapour chamber, copper tape and thermal paste in various places (like the processor) for thermal management.
• The YouTuber points out there are no pull tabs or pouches to easily take out the battery.

• PBKreviews has given the Motorola phone a repairability score of 5.5/10. 

• He says it will be difficult to replace this phone's screen and battery.
• However, replacing other parts and getting replacement parts are relatively easier.
