Motorola started teasing the launch of a new premium smartphone last week, and the latest teasers suggest it could be the Motorola Signature 27. It would be the successor to the Motorola Signature, which debuted earlier this year as the brand’s new premium smartphone. Motorola has now shared a new teaser for a product reveal on September 22nd, which could be for the Signature 27.
Motorola Signature 27 possible launch date
The latest teaser on Motorola’s X account shares a short video with the tagline “A new perspective is coming” and shows close-up shots of different materials, including what appears to be textile and metal. The messaging closely matches an earlier teaser for the Signature 27 that appeared on Motorola’s international websites.
The X post also mentions September 22nd, which could be the launch date for the Motorola Signature 27 or when it could reveal more details about the device. The launch date is also notable as it coincides with Qualcomm’s next-generation Snapdragon announcements. This raises the possibility that the Signature 27 could be among the first phones to feature the standard Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6, although Motorola has not confirmed the chipset yet. If accurate, this would make the Signature 27 a performance-focused device, while still offering a premium design.
The earlier teaser also includes a Crystals by Swarovski logo points towards another Swarovski edition, following the same strategy as it did with the original Signature. Motorola has been quite cryptic about the new Signature 27, but an upgrade to the original model seems quite likely now.
