Motorola unveils Swarovski crystal-studded Motorola Signature and Moto Buds 2 Plus
Motorola has released new versions of the Motorola Signature smartphone and Moto Buds 2 Plus earbuds under its Brilliant Collection, a design-focused product line that pairs its hardware with fashion and lifestyle brand collaborations. This edition features hand-placed amethyst Swarovski crystals and Bose audio, finished in a Pantone Violet Indigo colourway described as constellation-inspired.

The Motorola Signature in this edition has 20 hand-placed amethyst Swarovski crystals on the rear panel, set into a quilted pattern on a silk-textured Violet Indigo finish. The hardware is unchanged from the standard Signature with Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, a 50MP + 50MP +50MP camera system that DXOMARK has rated highly in its category, a 5,200mAh battery for a 6.99 mm phone, and IP68 and IP69 water resistance with MIL-STD-810H durability certification. Recycled materials make up more than 63 percent of the metals used, with 100 percent recycled aluminium in the mid-frame.

The Moto Buds 2 Plus get 12 crystals per earbud and 41 more on the charging case. Bose handles the audio tuning, and total playback is rated at up to 40 hours including the case. Both products come in the same indigo colourway and are designed to be bought and used together.
The Brilliant Collection is not a new concept for Motorola. The first edition with Swarovski launched in August, and a FIFA World Cup 26 Collection followed. Motorola takes an existing premium device, adding a distinctive aesthetic treatment through a recognisable partner, and sells it as a separate product tier. It’s a reasonable strategy for standing out in a segment where hardware differences between flagship phones are increasingly marginal.
The Brilliant Collection is aimed at buyers for whom how a phone looks and feels as an object is part of the purchase decision. That is a category underserved in the Android market, where most premium phones look more or less alike. Samsung has done limited colourway collaborations at the high end. Apple relies on its own design language and does not partner externally for aesthetics. Motorola is carving out a space that neither occupies — fashion-adjacent tech with genuine flagship specs underneath.

No pricing has been confirmed. The collection is rolling out across select markets in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, and Asia-Pacific over the coming weeks. India availability hasn’t been separately confirmed.
The standard Motorola Signature is already a premium device, and a Swarovski edition will cost more. How much more will determine whether the Brilliant Collection version makes sense as a purchase or sits in a price bracket that is difficult to justify for most buyers.
