Noise has partnered with music streaming platform Gaana to launch the Noise Buds R1 Gaana Edition in India. Priced at Rs 1,399, the wireless earbuds bundle a one-year Gaana Plus subscription worth Rs 799, adding music streaming benefits to a budget audio product. The partnership also extends Gaana subscriptions across Noise’s wider product portfolio, with both companies aiming to reach 2.5 million consumers by the end of 2026.
The Noise Buds R1 Gaana Edition features 11 mm dynamic drivers, Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity and quad microphones with Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC) for clearer calls. The earbuds also support 40ms ultra-low latency, which should help reduce the delay between audio and on-screen action during gaming and video playback.
Other features include Noise’s HyperSync technology for faster device connections, touch controls and an IPX5 rating for water resistance. The latter should help the earbuds handle sweat and light water splashes, making them suitable for workouts, although they are not designed for submersion. Noise claims up to 40 hours of battery life with the charging case. The earbuds also support fast charging, with 10 minutes of charging providing up to 120 minutes of playback. Actual battery life will depend on usage and listening volume.
The bundled Gaana Plus subscription is the main addition to the standard wireless earbud offering. Valued at Rs 799, it provides ad-free music streaming, offline downloads, HD audio across millions of songs and access to exclusive podcasts. The bundle could appeal to users who already pay for music streaming or want to try a premium service without committing to a separate subscription. However, the value depends on whether they use Gaana regularly. Those already subscribed to another platform may find the offer less useful.
The Noise Buds R1 Gaana Edition costs Rs 1,399 and is available through the Noise website, as well as the Gaana website and app. It comes with a one-year warranty. At this price, the earbuds compete with budget options from brands such as Boat and Realme. Their 40-hour claimed battery life and bundled subscription give them a clear selling point, but buyers should also compare call quality, comfort and sound performance before choosing between models. The 40ms latency could appeal to casual gamers as well.
For users who want an affordable pair of everyday earbuds and would make use of Gaana Plus, the bundle offers additional value beyond the hardware. Those who already have a preferred streaming service should compare the earbuds with similar priced alternatives before buying.
