Nothing Ear (Open) now comes in soft blue: same open-ear design, new look
Nothing has officially unveiled a new colourway for the Nothing Ear (Open). After teasing the launch last week, the company confirmed on X that its first open-ear earphones will now be available in a soft blue finish. The update is purely cosmetic, with no hardware or feature changes compared to the original model that debuted a couple of years ago in a white colour option.
The new shade aligns with Nothing’s recent strategy of introducing its products in more vibrant and youthful finishes to broaden its appeal among a wider audience. The recently launched Nothing Phone (4a), for instance, is available in Pink and Blue colour options alongside the traditional Black variant. Nothing is not alone in embracing bolder colour palettes either. Several brands have recently moved beyond conventional finishes to attract younger buyers and stand out in an increasingly saturated market.

Nothing Ear (Open) India price, availability
Nothing is yet to officially confirm the blue colourway of the Nothing Ear (Open) for India. However, its appearance on the company’s official website suggests that the new shade is likely to launch in the country soon. Interested users can also sign up on the product page to receive a notification once the variant becomes available.
In terms of pricing, the new colour option is expected to be aligned with the existing White model. The Nothing Ear (Open) is currently listed on an e-commerce platform at Rs 9,999.
In the US, the blue variant of the Nothing Ear (Open) is available at $99 (~Rs 9,458).

The Nothing Ear (Open) are open-ear designed earbuds, with lightweight earhooks to keep them firmly in place. Unlike the standard earphones, the buds don’t have the silicone tips, which can create a passive noise cancellation. The Ear (Open), meanwhile, are designed to keep users aware of their surroundings while listening to audio.
On the hardware front, the earbuds feature 14.2 mm dynamic drivers paired with a bass enhancement algorithm to improve low-end output despite the open design. The audio accessory supports Bluetooth 5.3 along with dual-device connectivity, allowing seamless switching between two devices. Battery life is rated at up to 8 hours on the earbuds themselves, with the charging case extending total playback to around 30 hours.
Other features include ChatGPT integration and AI-based call noise reduction for clearer voice calls in noisy environments.
Even though Nothing introduced the earbuds back in 2024, they remain a capable buy for their category. As observed in the review, the Nothing Ear (Open) is well-suited for users who want to stay aware of their surroundings while jogging or moving between work calls, and who prioritise comfort during extended wear. However, they are not positioned as a replacement for a primary pair of traditional TWS earbuds, which typically offer better passive isolation, a broader feature set, and greater convenience for everyday commuting, travel, and similar use cases.
