The Nothing Phone (3a) Lite has become a little more expensive in India, though not everyone will notice it right away. According to retail sources, the company has hiked prices of the Phone (3a) Lite by Rs 3,000, but it will apply only to newer stock. Units that are already sitting with retailers are still being sold at the original launch price.
In that scenario, buyers could be looking at the same phone, in the same variant, and see two different prices depending on the seller. The 8GB + 128GB version has reportedly moved from Rs 21,999 to Rs 24,999, while the 8GB + 256GB option now goes from Rs 23,999 to Rs 26,999. Notably, on Flipkart, the phone is still listed at Rs 21,999.
The reason behind the increase is said to be rising memory costs, which have been creeping up across the industry. Instead of waiting for the next launch cycle, prices are now being adjusted mid-way and we’ve seen that across almost all Android OEMs. We saw Redmi and Realme do that, while Samsung launched their recent A-series models, the Galaxy A37 and A57 at considerably higher prices.
The Nothing Phone (3a) Lite launched globally in October 2025, and came to India in November with the company’s trademark design with the transparent back, minimal Glyph lights, and an uncluttered software experience. Core specifications included a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, Dimensity 7300 Pro chipset, and a 5,000mAh battery with 33W charging. At Rs 21,999, the Lite model gave you most of the Nothing experience at a lower entry point than the Nothing Phone (3a). At Rs 24,999, that changes as the standard Nothing Phone (3a) launched at the same starting price. It would be strange for the Lite and the standard Phone (3a) to have the same starting price, so maybe we could see a hike for the other models too.
Outside Nothing’s lineup, this is a crowded segment with the Redmi Note 15, Realme P4 Pro and Vivo’s Y400. The Lite stands out for its design and clean UI, but now that comes down more to preference than obvious value. If you have been thinking about picking up the Nothing Phone (3a) Lite, you should buy it now. Else, if the tip is to be believed, one the older stock is gone, we’ll be seeing the Phone 3a Lite close to the Rs 25,000 mark.
