Nothing has added a new model to its Phone (3a) lineup, which is also the first-ever ‘Lite’ variant in its portfolio. Nothing Phone (3a) Lite is a new budget offering from the brand with the design and features borrowed from its older siblings, the Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro. Nothing has been launched in Europe and the UK for the Phone (3a) Lite yet, but it’s confirmed to launch in India soon. In these markets, the Phone (3a) Lite starts around Rs 26,000, but it should be lower here since the Phone (3a) is priced at Rs 24,999. This would make it the most affordable Nothing phone so far, and it also signals the brand’s entry into the competitive budget segment among the likes of iQOO, Redmi, Realme, and Vivo.
The Phone (3a) Lite may have joined the series, but its design is different from the Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro. It looks more like the flagship Phone (3) but without the Glyph Matrix design. Nothing has instead included a single Glyph Light tucked in the bottom-right corner of the phone. The Phone (3a) Lite comes in White and Black colours, and in a glass finish.
In terms of specs, you get a 6.77-inch FHD+ (1080 x 2392 pixels) AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. HDR10+, 3000 nits peak brightness, and Panda Glass protection. The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro chipset paired with 8GB LPDD4X RAM and 256GB UFS 2.2 storage, which is expandable up to 2TB via a microSD card. This is a popular chipset powering several phones under Rs 30,000. It has different versions like Energy, Ultra, and X as well, whose benchmark scores aren’t the highest but offer a reliable performance for regular usage and some heavy gaming as well.
The Nothing Phone (3a) Lite features a 50MP primary camera with EIS, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. Some features include 10x digital zoom and 4K video recording at 30 fps. The front camera is a 16MP sensor on the Phone (3a) Lite. This is a versatile camera setup catering to different photography needs.
On the software side, the Phone (3a) Lite runs Android 15 with Nothing OS 3.5 out of the box. It’s confirmed to receive the Android 16-based Nothing OS 4.0 update in early 2026, along with two additional OS upgrades. The device will also get six years of security updates.
Nothing OS is known for its clean and minimal interface, but this time the brand has pre-installed Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, a first for a Nothing phone. While these apps can be uninstalled, it marks a small shift from the company’s bloat-free approach. Still, given their popularity, most users may not mind. The Phone (3a) Lite also includes the AI-powered Essential Space, designed to help users store and manage content efficiently.
It packs a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. The battery capacity should be more than enough for regular and moderate usage; however, the charging speed is quite low compared to phones in the segment that offer up to 90W. There’s also an in-display fingerprint sensor, a bottom speaker, and an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance.
Nothing hasn’t revealed the India launch details for the Phone (3a) Lite yet, but we expect it to debut soon. Since the Phone (3) launched at a starting price of Rs 24,999 in India, the Lite model should be priced lower, possibly between Rs 19,999 and Rs 20,999. This is only speculation for now. Given the specifications of the device, the Nothing Phone (3a) Lite would be going up against some tough rivals. For Nothing fans who want the experience but at a budget, the Phone (3a) Lite could be worth waiting for.
